Project Locations
NSBP grants are available not only for projects on nationally designated byways, but also to support statewide byway planning efforts and State-designated byways. Figure 1 shows the distribution of grant funding for the 1999 through 2006 funding cycles. Over this eight-year period, nearly $200 million in grants were distributed, with 47 percent going to designated America’s Byways®, 41 percent to other State, Tribal or Federal land byways; and 11 percent to statewide byway programs.
