Online resources
National Scenic Byways Online (NSBO), through a contract between Multimedia Data Services Corporation and the Federal Highway Administration, provides online content to serve both the byway community and the traveling public. The original website, www.byways.org, is directed toward travelers and provides information and maps about National Scenic Byways, All-American Roads, and some of the State and Federal land management agency byways that are not part of the America’s Byways® collection.
A second website, www.bywaysonline.org, is designed for the byway community and provides official information on the Program, nominations, grants, and byway contacts. This site also hosts several online discussion forums to provide an opportunity for the sharing of information and expertise among members of the byway community.
A third website, http://www.bywaysresourcecenter.org/, is hosted by the America’s Byways Resource Center, and is designed to provide education and resources to the byway community.
