Funding Attribution Guidelines
National Scenic Byways and All-American Roads
For all materials for America's Byways® – National Scenic Byways and All-American Roads – developed with funding provided by FHWA, the America's Byways logo should be used. The logo is required to be used on America's Byways® publications, websites, videos, interpretive signs, and other mediums produced with funding provided by FHWA. Where possible, in addition to the logo, include the following statement: "Funded in part by Federal Highway Administration." The America's Byways logo is to be used only for the collection of distinct and diverse roads designated by the U.S. Secretary of Transportation.
State Designated Byways
For all materials for State designated byways developed with funding provided by FHWA, the following phrase should appear, "Funded in part by Federal Highway Administration." The America's Byways logo cannot be used in association with State designated byways that have not been designated as an All-American Road or National Scenic Byway.
Mix of National, State and Other designated byways
For materials developed with funding provided by FHWA that include both State and other nationally designated roads, the following parameters should be followed:
- The affirmation statement for materials developed with State and other byways should appear "Funded in part by Federal Highway Administration." The America's Byways logo cannot be used for affirmation on pages that have State or other byways.
- Where several America's Byways are represented in the material, the use of the logo should be consistent (version, color, size, etc.).
