Section 7: Contacts and Signatory
Please note that to be considered for national designation, nominees are required to submit their application both electronically (through the online system at www.bywasyonline.org) and in print (by submitting signed, hard copy of the application to the State, Indian tribe or Federal Land Management agency who will, in turn, submit the nomination materials to the FHWA Division Office.) Federal land management agencies and Indian tribes may submit their nomination applications directly to the FHWA Division Office or through the State.
You will be asked for the:
Principal Point of Contact. Provide the name and contact information (phone number and e-mail address) for the individual who can best represent the byway and provide information that could affect the byway’s nomination if questions arise during review of the byway’s nomination. Ideally, this person will have driven the byway from end to end and be able to independently substantiate statements made in the nomination application.
Preparer. Provide the name and contact information (phone number and e-mail address) of the individual who prepared the 2008 nomination.
State/Indian tribe/Federal land management agency signatory. Secure the signature of the person within the State/Indian tribe/Federal land management agency responsible for submitting documents to the Federal Highway Administration, the date and their contact information (phone number and e-mail address) on the hard copy submission of the nomination application.
