Smithsonian, US Fish & Wildlife, and Byways Partner on Exhibit

An exhibit opened at the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History on November 7, 2003, celebrating the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the National Wildlife Refuge System. FHWA partnered with the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service on this multi-media exhibit that encourages travelers to take America’s Byways™ to the wildlife refuges. The exhibit runs through April 11, 2004, and plans are being finalized to take it on the road.
