Consolidated Non-Federal Matching Requirements
Guidance on matching requirements for Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) funded grants and subgrants, including National Scenic Byways Program grants, has been issued by the FHWA. To provide more comprehensive and consolidated guidance that reflects current statutory and regulatory requirements, this guidance establishes uniform Federal-aid policy guidance for matching Federal-aid highway program projects.
FHWA Announces Solicitation for FY 2010 NSBP Grant Applications
The Federal Highway Administration is now seeking grant proposals for National Scenic Byways Program funding consideration for FY 2010. The Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for Users; P.L. 109-59 as extended to February 28, 2010 authorizes five months of funding for FY 2010 at the FY 2009 level for the National Scenic Byways Program, subject to the obligation limitation. Additional funding may be made available pending further extensions or reauthorization.
U.S. Department of Transportation Receives Preserve America Award
The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) received the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation (ACHP) Award for Federal Preserve America Accomplishment for its support of the Preserve America Program and its leadership in historic preservation efforts across the nation.
2009 America's Byways Designations Announced
U. S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood today announced 42 new designations to the America’s Byways® collection, including five All-American Roads and 37 National Scenic Byways in 26 states. This increases the number of America’s Byways® to 151.
National Scenic Byways Program FY 2009 Grants Announced
The Federal Highway Administration has announced awards under the National Scenic Byways Program for fiscal year 2009 as authorized in Section 1101(a)(12) of the Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy For Users (SAFETEA-LU).
