This project will assist New Jersey with the development and updating of their existing program by: 1) Revising outdated material and creating new material needed to move the program forward, 2) Providing technical assistance for meetings, program development and education to various groups/organizations, and 3) Assisting with continuing education associated with attending conferences, seminars and classes that can aid with better development of the program and better assistance to the byways.
This project benefits the byway traveler by helping NJ advance their existing program so that they can better assist and educate the potential and existing sponsors in the development of their byways and in making the traveler’s experience along the byways more enjoyable, educational, and user friendly. This project also provides technical assistance in educating various groups and organizations about the NJ Scenic Byways Program to gain support for further designations.
