Good Example of a Prior Projects Summary:
The project the present proposal most closely relates to is SB-2003-ID-50196, which was entitled 'Statewide Scenic Byway Signage.' The proposed project takes up where that one left off. For the most part this proposal is patterned after the 2004 Pioneer Historic Byway Sign Plan Implementation. The 2003 project updated the old brown and white trail blazer signs to multi-colored signs, provided byway 4'x8' information boards for most of the Idaho byways, and provided 18 single-paneled tiltback interpretives and six eight-sided kiosks. The proposed project will follow the 2004 Pioneer Historic Byway format for other byways outlined in this project and continue on the success and excitement of Idaho's Scenic Byways Sign Program by providing wayfinding signs, 4'x8' signboards, interpretive panels, and kiosks for recently established byways and byways that have such projects described in their respective corridor management plans, as well as byways having matching funds or in-kind match available.
